Yoga clothes

So, we've been working out and riding our bikes to the gym.

I found that I either have to wear shorts or yoga pants that threaten to get stuck in my bike chain.

So, I made some pants and a top to go with it

Of course, they both have pockets

I knitted a green headband while watching the Hulk

not quite the same color, but the yarn has big chunky parts and skinny parts, so it's appropriate

Wow, I'm a slacker

What with all the wedding planning, going back and forth across the country, and working on a re-model, I haven't been making things on a daily basis. But, there are a few things I've been working on over the past month or so and I feel the need to post.

I don't know why harassing my cat is so amusing to me.

And last, but not least, today I finally finished the painting that I plan to use for the wedding invitations. It's gone through several phases and layers, and yes, there are seams because it's painted on jeans that we stretched onto 1x4s

I say it's done because I'm afraid anything else I could do to it would mess it up.

I would love to say that I will be more consistent again with my production and posting, but, I don't think that's realistic.

I will at least make an effort to photograph and post the things I've made, though, because there are many other things that I've made, but I have no idea where my camera so I only have what few pictures I've taken on my phone.

So I've been making things, just not posting.
After making the drive across the country, and many breakfasts, the tax spreadsheet for the accountant and various other things, I figured I'd make a post.

When I was sewing yesterday I realized that a big part of making things for me now was showing it off, too. Whether or not anyone saw it. So, here's the things that I've made in the past few weeks.

I got here without a headband.
Big mistake, that was the first thing I needed

After many fittings, they don't need a belt!

I love my guitar.
It's an old guitar that I bought online...without a case.

Since I don't plan on flying with it, all I really need is gig bag, and since it's bigger and differently shaped than most acoustics these days, it just seemed easier to make one.

Small pick pocket up top, a pocket for strings

and the big pocket for music etc.

I had to have something cute on the back, besides the strap

and, yes, all the petals are pockets

I'm getting over a cold, and somehow that makes painting seem like a good idea.

This is a narrower and taller board than my first attempt.
Still, smaller than what I think the finished one will be, but we'll see.

I'm having a problem with the figures, so I've decided to do a closeup view of them, to work out skin tone, positioning and feature issues.

I've never been that good with people (tee hee)

This is the beginning of that, just blocked out a bit roughly.

In running around to get things to work on the house, ok, maybe in procrastination mode on working on the house, we went to the thrift store.

I found two plastic bags of corks.

So, of course I had to make a cork board.

So, today after I worked some on the house, I felt a little painty.

The picture with the flash doesn't show up too well because it's still wet.

A bit blurrier, but you can get the idea.
I'm sure I'm going to work on it more, flesh out the people, sky and building.

It is just the first attempt at the concept

So, done with traveling for a couple of weeks.
I have been having visions of quilts, and have never even begun one, and although I probably have books and patterns that can tell me how, I decided to play with some ideas without any assistance.

I'm thinking I may need to look at some books.

Well, traveling again so I haven't been diligent in posting.

The sock on my left foot was Saturday on the plane (the leg part) and I finished the foot part (very important to turn it from legwarmer to sock) on Sunday.

The right sock was Monday.

The second one is always quicker

Today was a fuzzy hat to match, and I am two skeins lighter for my return flight!
