So, done with traveling for a couple of weeks.
I have been having visions of quilts, and have never even begun one, and although I probably have books and patterns that can tell me how, I decided to play with some ideas without any assistance.

I'm thinking I may need to look at some books.

Well, traveling again so I haven't been diligent in posting.

The sock on my left foot was Saturday on the plane (the leg part) and I finished the foot part (very important to turn it from legwarmer to sock) on Sunday.

The right sock was Monday.

The second one is always quicker

Today was a fuzzy hat to match, and I am two skeins lighter for my return flight!

I made a pouch for the momarrazzi's peripherals.
No, not the thoughts that orbit around her head,
but all those little cords, cables, chargers, extra memory cards etc that
she'll be taking on her trip

One big pocket on the outside (it fits a couple of cds in jewel cases even)

Two pockets inside, and it zips so random other things can be stuffed in as well!

Running around today I saw some cool bags, and thought, well, why not?

So, I made one out of scarves and a tie, with a few extra pockets from some jackets I had already deconstructed.

It turned out quite cute and has already been used once!

So I was very sleepy about 30 minutes ago, and realized, it's probably because I hadn't made anything today.
It's an addiction.
So, I set out to make a bag, but cut the fabric way too small.
I tried it out as a hat on Bear, but she was none too pleased,
so, it became a change purse, since I gave my last one away.

Today, while the Cardinals shocked the world, I made a dress

Quite a simple front

The back has a little more interest. The stripe is a design feature.
I accidentally cut the fabric and needed to make a patch!

I really didn't know what to make today, so I made some paws out of fabric that I don't know what it wants to be.

It is an interesting knit, and I have a bunch more still.
But that's it for today.
I'm gonna try and finish the face warmer, too and if I do I'll post.Face warmer!
I have to wash it and may add some elastic at the top, but it's knitted!

So, for over 24 hours I've been having a really low tech day.
It's not out of preference, it's just that anything with technology beyond,
I don't know, let's say, the wheel, doesn't do well with me around it.

So, with much whining from me and my machine, I was able to put together a few seams:

The material is a silk that's usually used for ties and vests most likely.
It's rather textured, like a large basket weave kind of fabric.
Very fun for a silk!

A couple of things today:

I worked on C.B.'s dress. She had found two dresses that she liked pieces of and so we put them together

In the meantime I made a weather inappropriate dress for myself

The momarrazzi liked the lack of hem hem

So, I took a few days off, and I'm not done with this yet, but I figured I should at least show the world.

It's going to go down the neck.
It's supposed to keep the nose, mouth and neck warm when it's cold out.
I just have to finish it before I go back somewhere it's cold!

Truly, honestly, I didn't intend to make a hat.
I started out making something else and as I was making it I thought,
"Hey, this could be a cool hat!"

So I guess I'm still in my hat phase.

I also made the deck smoother.
And then the momarazzi and I made it protected! Yay!

Today I made a tiny purse, it's kinda fluted, so when it's open it looks like a tulip shape

But it closes to a nice even width

and it fits my crackberry!
