For many reasons a need had developed in our household.
It starts with orthotic flip-flops, shoes custom molded to your feet, that make life much better if you have any tendency towards back tension.
These are great, when you don't need closed toe shoes.

Unfortunately, there comes a time, even in the desert (specifically in the shade or non-mid afternoon hours between November and March), where even the thought of having toes exposed can send a chill down your spine.

So, Tabi socks! They cover toes and still allow for the flip-flop to be worn.

While they're on order, these homemade ones will do fill in:

Fleece material

Carefully constructed to allow for a heel, because, otherwise you would have to walk on tip toe

In motion!

And Grinch feet are born
