In the name of all that is stripedy
So, I have a fascination with knitting socks right now. I have other socks that have taken more than a day to make that have not made it onto the blog due to that fact.
This sock, however, only took today.

Stripedy!

So, my fascination with the small bags has begun.

Tiny little gift bags

Oh so very small!!

So, today's project was much shorter. There is a community art fair/christmas bazaar that the momarrzzi and I are probably going to share a booth at. So, I was thinking of what little gift bags for her necklaces should look like.

This is the bag laying flat. I realized that you have no idea the size from this picture.

So, this is how big it is.

When it's all closed up it looks like a strawberry!

Sorry for posting so late, but today's project took some time.

I had gotten some really pretty wool with my birthday present from Mom & Dad, I wanted to make a felted bag. First the knitting. That was 10 inches high when finished knitting.

This is a close up of the texture of the knitted bag.

view of felted bag sitting up

View on it's side, it's about 5 inches high (or depth of the purse)
Very fun, and I will be making more!

Today was a day for finishing a project and creating a smaller one.
So, I completed the top and made the headband.

This is the same pattern as the green one with the cable detailing.

I made a cabled headband with a super, super secret pocket.

Also made Bear so very, very sleepy.

Low tech day
I decided to make a pocket without a home

Maybe one day it will get a sweater or something to live on

So, today's thing comes with a story, or two.
First off, Buck got adopted by a kitten. This kitten, going by the name of Little Buddy, and Charlie had a disagreement about Little Buddy's right to keep all his fur in one piece.

Little Buddy will now be wearing an e-collar for a while as he goes through the process of surgeries to recover himself as it were.
Little Buddy seems as pleased with the concept of a plastic e-collar as Buddy cat was, so, time to make a Buddy Hat for Little Buddy.Bear was quite a reluctant model.

She doesn't understand why she isn't allowed to see the rest of the world.

And, well, since L.B. will be inside now, he better get ready for football season.

One of the challenges with this, is that I don't have a kitten here to try this on. So, the pipe cleaners that are sewn in are to be able to create some adjustability, to make it smaller to be able to fit a little Buddy.

Cuteness, cuteness, time to make some cuteness.

So, for my birthday I got some men's shirts to play with. This one wanted to be a skirt!
The back
The front - pockets not so secret!

In keeping with the theme:My guitar strap!

This is the closeup of the strap, it actually has a sort of pattern to it, but you can't tell 'cause it's fuzzy & multicolored - like my guitar skills

Every headband deserves a matching wristband!
The pattern is different, but it is the same yarn

And the pocket isn't so secret

But it fits a pick (actually it fits several)

One of the things about this new haircut is that I have no appropriate hair accessories.
Enter the headband!

Nice and simple knitted headband in the same elastic/cotton mix yarn that I've used for swimwear before. Very cool yarn, check it out at Cascade Yarns

As with everything, there must be a super secret pocket

Perfect for i.d. or whatever!

So, a little explanation may be needed.
The material used for this skirt is Crown Royal bags. Apparently, even when bars order the bottles by the case, they all come in bags. Well, there should be some other use for them, right?
I mean, they're perfectly good purple fabric with gold trim.
Ok, maybe you have to have some Tiger in you or really like the lead-up to Lent to
think these are reasonable colors to wear, but, well, some of us think that way.

It's a little swishy

It kinda makes me feel like a 4 layered cake.

This is a closeup of the layers, one of the coolest things are the grommets that the drawstrings go through. I definitely couldn't hide them!

First, I would like to say, it is very difficult to 'razzi yourself, especially when listening to good music. So, sorry about the photos, or lack thereof. But, anyway, I give you symmetrical stripedy.
Very different in feel to original stripedy, I think due to the somewhat symmetry. Still, there is something about it that I like. On to measuring the house!

Attempt 1 at a chiffon dress
Still some kinks to work out, for the future attempts, but good enough to sell for cheap!

I'm sure there is an easier way and I will find it!
Just not today.

Yesterday was NFC, today, though, AFC!

I didn't technically make the top today, with the knitting I usually work on it for a few days, and count the finishing day as the day. I had to piece it together and do the armhole edging. It just so happened that it was perfectly Jet green!

This pattern is not mine, you can find it at www.jacquelynlandry.com
Happy Knitting!

In honor of birthdays, lazy Saturdays, that time of year, and to be able to 'razzi the Momarazzi, I give you fuzzy loungy pants!

This is before I hemmed the bottom, but, all in all a pretty snazzy dresser! Actually, the top was already chosen for it's summer qualities, the pants, not so much.

The pants are out of fleece blanket material, so we're hoping for road trips to cold weather - in other words, they better make the playoffs!

Woke up, did yoga, decided to make more tops to do yoga in.
I made these, and yes, they are 2 separate tops, on my older machine to see if I could. It definitely is easier on the new super cool machine, but this worked.

So, a silk shirt from thick silk meant for ties.
This is the front, it's very fitted
This is the best part, the very cool zipper that was the starting point of the idea
I also made Fustus get his picture taken
Smile defiant kitty!
