So today was Mom's birthday. Dad made breakfast, mom, my sister and I made a trip to walmart, and throughout the day I made this. It is a very squishy bear. You can't really tell in this light, but it does have some elements of LSU purple.

So, at least I can say now that I made this in a car. My sister and I conspired with our father to surprise my mother for her birthday. So, yesterday and today I made things in the car, but as we arrived and surprised her early, I can at least admit it. So, instead of 20 minutes, this top took about 60 miles since it was hand sewn.

Bleh, bleh, bleh .... too much diet mountain dew makes me say bleh

Mom inspected the hem, she somehow avoided the momarazzi that is my sister.

Oops, almost forgot to post today. So, I made a necklace and then got distracted by very fuzzy yarn. I thought I was making a kitten, but it looks more like, I don't know, maybe a Gog. Yes, that's it, I made a Gog! So, enjoy the necklace and the Gog.

Something for someone else!

So, we have a friend that needed a top for a weekend in Vegas. She had seen the tops that I have for sale on my Etsy store and wanted one, she just didn't know which. Well, after trying them on, she decided that none of them were perfect, so we resorted to the box o' scarves: We agreed on the scarf and I decided on the tie to match. Sorry, no compromising, no second guessing, this is what I do. So there!

12 Hour Pants!!!

Ok, so all day I've been fighting with these pants. They didn't want to be made the way I wanted to make them. I think that I hate more structured pants because I refuse to believe how big my thighs are and always have to make additions. Oh well, 12 hours later the pants of doom become the pants of doom and joy!

So, last night I thought I'd just figure out what to make in the morning. Bad plan, because I had a lot of imagination this morning and decided to do something complicated. I wanted to use the maroon fabric for a top but did not have enough - I literally used every piece in this top. The bright blue was nice, but didn't relate without the patterned fabric which doesn't have either of the other colors in it. Then, of course, the problem of photography. I may put up better photos later, but for now:

7-11 cleanup

Maybe it was just kittenish because I had forgotten to give it a tail. The fact that Bear and Gus allowed me to live through the night is amazing. So, before the real work - a kitten tail.
